Employee Suggestion Scheme
OBJECTIVE
Al Babtain believes in team working and encourages valuable contribution from every employee as it is vital for consistent growth of the company. The aim of this scheme is to bring in the culture of "One Company One Team One Goal" The scheme aims at suitably rewarding the employees for acceptable and implementable suggestions.

ELIGIBILITY
  • The Suggestion Scheme is open to all employees.
  • Employee giving the suggestion herein after termed as `Suggestor’.
  • The scheme is meant for individual/ teams (Not Exceeding four).
ELIGIBLE SUGGESTIONS (examples)
  • Simplification of Practices/ Procedures/ Processes
  • Elimination of ineffective movements/ Delays/ Rework/ Duplication etc
  • Economy in stationery, office facilities, Administration
  • Improvement of working condition, communication, facilities, image, publicity
  • Cost savings initiatives
  • Improvement in Quality, Safety, Environment.
  • Enhancement in Customer satisfaction.
  • Improving Product Sales and profitability
  • Improvement in current process & Technology
  • Any other area which improves Company’s performance & image
INELIGIBILE SUGGESTIONS Suggestions on the following matters will not be considered for awards under suggestion scheme.
  • Suggestions pertaining to the Company/Govt. Policies.
  • Matters which are already under consideration by Management
  • Complaints or Grievances
  • Salary & Benefits
  • A proposal which draws attention to a problem but offers no solution.
  • Suggestions already adopted or implemented.
  • Repeat Suggestions.
  • Impracticable/ Non-Implementable suggestions on cost & technical considerations & nonstandard practices.
PROCESS Employees will complete an Employee Suggestion Form, Forms will be available on Babtain portal, Fill the form and submit. It will be reviewed by HRBP who will consult with each Divisional Manager for which the suggestions are most relevant. Accordingly desicion will be taken whether the suggestion will fail or be referred to the selection panel for further evaluation. Employees with no access to the Intranet, forms can be sent direct to HRBP / supervisors who will help them in submitting through the portal.
SELECTION COMMITTEE The ‘Employee Suggestion Scheme’ Selection Committee will be constituted by the following Positions:
  • COO
  • CFO
  • GM
  • Department Manager
  • GM HR
  • HRBP
It will be the function of the Committee to evaluate nominees and decide the winner of the best suggestion. Committee will be of two levels
Level 1 Committee
General Manager (Department/ Company) Department Manager GMHR (Final Approval) HRBP
Level 2 Committee
COO CFO GMHR GM (Department / Company)
Review and Approval Scope of Committee
Level 1 Committee
All suggestions related to improvisation of operational procedures, systems and controls , cost reductions, Employee welfare, Health & Safety and any other subjects that could add value to business.
Level 2 Committee
All suggestions limited to capital investment towards enhancing current business model and new business ventures/ opportunities.
Review meetings of Committees
Level 1 Committee
Once in a month as per the convenience / availability of all committee members HRBP will organize the meeting.
Level 2 Committee
Once every quarter, upon receiving potential suggestions GMHR will call meeting.
The Selection Committee will review, discuss the suggestions and decide the Best Suggestion and finally it will be reviewed / Approved by the COO/CEO.
REWARD Each suggestion will be evaluated based on following criteria
  • Value proposition
  • Potentiality
  • Feasibility
  • Profitability
Based on the above criteria eligibility of below mentioned awards will be decided by the selection committee and shall send the nominations.
  • CEO Award
  • Best Suggestion Award with cash benefit (as decided by the committee)
APPLICATION If an employee feels that their idea has not been evaluated fairly they should raise their concerns with HRBP. A decision can be reconsidered if the idea has been misunderstood or the decision to reject it is not supported by facts and a reasonable argument.
